Could be more innovative, too conservative with risk Some technology is ancient, especially rating tools Not good at communicating what we are doing as a company, very siloed, half of company doesn’t even understand what Markel does other than insurance Majority of board & C suite is male and white Doesn’t adjust pay based on location/cost of living Staffing issues, not enough people to do the work, takes a lot of time to retrain new associates and repair relationships Need to reward employees who stick around The regional structure isn’t great when people move
