      Pros

      The best thing about working for marriott were the benefits in the forms of medical, 401 k, disability, education & tuition reimbursement.

      Cons

      No work life balance. They all preached it- mgrs called all kinds of meeting to reiterate it, but they didn't allow it. They never cared about associates' health issues..

      Friendly environment, mid-level management gives consistent feedback, set schedule, no overtime or pressured work, set amount of work, can cover other employees

      Cons

      not much communication between all departments, not too much opportunity for personal improvement or promotion. Salary is not too satisfying

      -Very good hotel discount more than 50% off -Excellent benefits -able to use workout facility, if the property has one for free -cheap meals available everyday, although you probably won't want to eat it

      Cons

      -Nothing is consitant-everything depends on management, if you have a good manager you'll have a good experience, if you have a micro-manager you'll have a bad experience -work every weekend and most holidays for $10.25 an hour -No time and half for holidays, however you get paid for the holiday, but so does the people who are off, so there is no incentive for working on the holiday -Guest encounters are becoming too rehearsed, what happend to just being warm and hospitable and making the guest feel like they are at their "home away from home"?
