The global COVID-19 pandemic has been catastrophic in so many ways with no modern parallels. The health and well-being of our 75,000+ colleagues, their families, our communities and clients are the top priority for our organization during these challenging times. The decision to cancel our summer internship program this year was one of the most difficult we have had to make.
A cornerstone of our summer internship programs is to ensure that our colleagues have a meaningful work experience during their time at Marsh and McLennan. In light of the impact of COVID-19 on our work environment, we had to make the painful decision that we couldn’t provide that experience and so had to cancel the program. In its place, we are developing a virtual summer learning experience that will provide opportunities for students to network, learn more about our business and grow professionally.
