Pros

The other Account Representatives. They are the only ones with real insurance experience and made the Irvine office tolerable. They are a wonderful group of intelligent insurance professionals and was a pleasure working with them.

Cons

No agency management system, no insurance agency accounting software, use of off-shore unskilled labor. There is little communication from operations and management about changes of any kind. No procedures and no standards. People in management have created a toxic work environment. They have no business in a position of authority. The truly skilled, insurance professionals in the office have been relegated to entry level assistants, to unqualified newbies with little to no insurance knowledge or experience. The Account Executives most with little experience but hold a college degrees, aren't held to any standards and there are multiple E&O exposures as a result. Now there is a move to create an "account coordinator" role in the Austin Cert team office. The work will ultimately be performed by the off-shore team in India, and effectively eliminating the need to a real account manager position. The salaries are low and only after I received my actual offer letter did I see they played a switch and lowered my annual salary. The medical benefits are subpar, everything is subject to a deductible, no dedicated co-pays and very expensive

Pros

The health benefits were ok and they have a good discount program.

Cons

Senior leadership creates unrealistic expectations, is unprofessional in meetings and communications and is completely detached from the realities of what the front line faces every day. It is a negative and toxic work environment. Did not pay for last week of work or accrued vacation when I left the company after giving and working a proper 2 week notice.
