      Marvell has good products but need to change its menagement style.

      Pros

      Marvell has strength to coming up with products fitting to the market. Healthy cash flow. senior manager work hard to keep the company under their controll. Paid reseonable good. reasonable size of company.

      Cons

      Micro-management, middle managers just focus on build up their own power, and out-source works to their own "back yards" in India or China. Engineers in US are scared about losing their jobs. No trackable recognition and reward to good employees. People lose their motivation, vision and passion at Marvell. Senior manager do lots micro-management. Talking about Sehat read Co-op student's resumes and ask hiring questions to them.

      Pros

      1. Starting your career after graduation and building up your technical skills 2. Exposure to multiple projects and duties 3. Dedicated and talented co-workers, and engineering managers still heavily involved in designs 4. Fair compensation (salary-wise) 5. Impressive technical vision and insights from CEO 6. (Used to be) free food and (still intact) very nice gym facilities

      Cons

      1. Long work hours and tight schedules ... 2. Bad IT, CAD and HR support 3. Marketing seems to be always behind competitors and the development group always feel like playing catch-ups though they often execute well in that strategy 4. Insufficient emphasis put on leadership development 5. Lack of sharing company-wide news, plans, and directions with rank-and-files

      Great engineering, so-so marketing, lousy HR

      Pros

      Very competent engineering groups. Engineering managers tend to be technically savvy unlike some other companies. Low level of politics at least within engineering. Fast moving projects - get to learn a lot. Very dedicated people working together.

      Cons

      Long hours and sometimes unreasonable schedules. Lack of management appreciation on effort people put in. No visibility on what is happening even 6 months from now.
