Masimo used to have good ratings as a good place to work for, but after covid hit, it took a drastic fall. People are overworked, stressed, and management only increases pressures. Most engineers have complained they no longer know what's going on and everything is a confusing mess. The timelines are completely unrealistic and focus is on schedules instead of quality. People are leaving left and right and people that have worked there for 10+ years are "retiring early." The rumors flying around is that when covid hit, competition skyrocketed and Masimo was caught with their pants down with no new innovation. Management has panicked and is frantically trying to force new ideas and reduce costs in preparation for when demand drops and the world realizes Masimo has nothing to offer. If you are considering this company, be sure to ask why there is an opening. If the answer is: there's a lot of work to do; you'll know you're going to be overworked to cover for the people that are leaving. Masimo will offer high RSUs because they will push you so hard that you won't want to stay long enough for them to mature - that is, if the company survives that long.
