Very strict stats and metric goals that are very hard to meet

I've worked at several investment management companies in my career and the workflows/processes, if they could be called that, at Massmutual IM are the worst I've ever seen by miles. I'm actually embarrassed by how bad the workflows are. Constant meetings that go over the scheduled time where nothing is accomplished. Bottom of the barrel colleagues in terms of intelligence and independence. Extremely long hours due to aforementioned horrific workflows and long meetings. Working here is driving me insane. It is very unclear how, if at all possible, how to move up in your career at MassMutual.
