Pros

You can work five days a week and do not have to put in more than eight hours if salaried. Do not have to work weekends but can and they will pay overtime.

Cons

The union and HR department are out to lunch. Everything is contractually bound under a union contract that is as clear as mud. When an employee does not work, they do not have to and will go to the union who has a chief union steward that will literally scream at you for asking someone to work because nobody works and you have to be consistent. You can not target one lazy person because they are all lazy. You ask HR for support and if they will get back to you, it would either take an act of god or calling corporate. When they do get back to you and you ask for them to advise, their response often involves them telling you they need to ask the union how things are defined in the contract. The contract is written so vaguely that the union will say what they want to say and hold your feet to the fire. Those peer to you in management at the Milwaukee plant bad mouth each other and endlessly point fingers. This place pretty much breeds incompetence.

Pros

The company has huge market share and everyone knows the brand. Year over year sales are fairly consistent.

Cons

Third president in two years has led to a lot of confusion. Many people don't want to make decisions or work proactively, so it's very difficult to get things done
