Benefits, some wages, and some good people

Poor, poor, management, not equal or fair to the employees, way to much favoritism with family and friends, management doesn't follow through on issues, poor matainence, loss of quality more into quantity and faster line speeds, to many mandatory Saturday work

Pros

Pay is good, that's about it. And competition is quickly catching up to the same rates. Seek employment elsewhere.

Cons

On the production side of things, management is clueless and unhelpful. Only concerned about keeping the lines running. They don't care if you have to stay late, either. Sometimes you have to stay late to clean up the line and make sanitations job easier but no one from Management ever tries to make our jobs easier. Employment shortages means they are taking anyone who applies which means unqualified people are getting jobs and making it more difficult for the hard workers. Mandatory overtime is a huge thing here meaning you will be working 6 days a week unless it's a holiday or vacation time. They may tell you it's only temporary but I have been here for several years and am still consistently working overtime. Sometimes we are scheduled on a Saturday over running orders we don't need just so they can make more money. Most of us would rather be at home with our families but they don't care about us. Carreer advancement only applies to those who have a relationship with someone in a higher position. It seems like people who get promoted are always those who are family or in a relationship with those with supervisor or office positions. Its really hard for someone with no relationship to anyone to move off of the production floor.

Awesome place to work

Pros

I've had the pleasure of working for MGF not only once, but twice. They believe in their employees and truly want what's best for them. I've worked for a few other privately held companies and I can say with confidence, it's not always greener on the other side. I'm so happy to be back.

Cons

Every organization has cons to their business. People need to realize that it's part of life and work through the issues.
