Masters is a good company with some major flaws
Pros
The starting wage is higher than almost any where else. The facility is nice and clean. Truly enjoy running the line.
Cons
Masters has so many rules that it makes doing our job very difficult ( hard hats, lock out tag out, cut gloves, covering mustaches) They really need to cool down the front of the line ( by line attendants). With the new hard hats in place if you have to move (hand stack pallets) you get very hot and sweaty. We really need to start following a PM (preventative maintenance) schedule. We run our lines at such a high speed for so many hours continuously that we end up with more down time than if we just shut down once every 2 weeks and let maintenance actually fix things. The pay is quite competitive yes, however considering the hard work we do with only two 15 minutes breaks (that are closely watched) and the amount of responsibility line leads have I do believe we deserve more compensation.
