Pros

Working with kids who struggle with math is a challenge but rewarding when you see the progress they make because of you.

Cons

Children and hard to work with and this can be a real drain on your morale and how you may interact with them.

Pros

Very casual work environment. The Mathnasium curriculum is great...helps the kids overcome some of their math gaps (if they do the prescriptives). Kids are allowed to work on homework too but they also must do their Mathnasium prescriptives. Best part is seeing some of the kids say that they got a very good grade on a math test! Instructors at Mathnasium are great!

Cons

Pay is low, but good for college kids trying to earn some extra money. Two weeks before final exams, there is a surge of students.
