The working environment is fairly relaxing, but can get really intense in some specific times

Instructors are given a overall fair amount of workload. Center director and other coworkers are friendly and do not hesitate to help if you are unable to handle certain situation. The working environment is fairly relaxing and easy-going.

Cons

During schools' final exam time, things can get really tough since many students come in to seek help. Although each instructor is responsible to mentor at most four students at one time, but during finals, one usually has to handle more than that and can easily stressed out.

The students are engaged, mostly. The curriculum is decent and flexible. Instruction is focused on skill mastery. Students are encouraged to engage in many different types of learning activies: games, problem solving, teamwork, etc. Management (depending on your center) is involved and helpful. Depending on the direction of the center, the environment can be very positive.

Cons

The pay is way below the quality of instruction desired.
