Misleading job title/terrible work treatment by management
Pros
- Loved working with the kids, even the misbehaved ones - Lovely coworkers - Great teaching methods for those who want to pursue education
Cons
- management was terrible and borderline abusive - often times would overwork their employees, even remove overtime hours from your schedule so they don't have to pay you more, which of course is very illegal - one employee forced to work from 12pm to 4am and plenty of people staying past midnight on multiple occasions, and of course not getting compensated for overtime - vast majority of the job was administrative work as opposed to pure math instruction - plethora of incidents in which employees would get calls near midnight to be chastised for menial mistakes - ridiculous phone policy in which employees are forced to leave their phones in their cars or at home even though there were multiple times where the center director would pull our her phone throughout the day - security camera footage would be reviewed at the end of each day by center director in order to further chastise their employees for menial mistakes - I could write more on how terribly the employees are mistreated but that would become a full-on thesis
