Pros

Some really great coworkers. Great training in New Jersey. Great place to learn if you put the work in yourself! Your coworkers will help!

Cons

Turnover! I worked there about a year and saw about 10 people get fired or put on a plan so they would quit. Instead of trying to help people get better they just give up on them and let them drown. Bad attitudes! Negative environment. Recruiters get spoken to like dogs by account managers. Pressure to move into sales. If you’re doing well in recruiting they push you into sales with false pretenses and convince you it’s the right move and once you make the move once again, you’re left to drown with hardly any help from management. No HR- if there was a problem or conflict in the office there was never any sit down and trying to solve it, even if people requested it. Just the manager playing both sides. Lack of trust in management. Anything said to management was repeated even if asked not to be. On the other hand management made remarks and comments to employees about other employees that was totally inappropriate.

Pros

You will meet some cool people, depending on the office. If you're lucky, you may get to go on a cool trip, or host some cool work events for clients.

Cons

1.Terrible pay. 2. Management says it's "wash, rinse, repeat" -no room for anything outside what they know, even though they will tell you to "think outside the box" LIE. 3. Management always blames recruiters for their pitfalls. 4. Management will tell you to come early and stay late, but does not do that themselves. 5. Drama. 6. No true training or process, they just hope you understand what you're doing, and if not, then tough luck. 7. If you're a woman, you're expected to get meetings because its apparently "not hard" for "pretty women" to get meetings. I could go on, but these are some of the first that come to mind.

Pros

Matlen Silver is a first class company to work for. There is no micro managing here which encourages each employee to take charge of their own tasks and work together really well as a team. Excellent benefits packages are offered and the HR department is extremely friendly and always available to explain information in plain terms. I've been with Matlen Silver for several years during which they have had tremendous growth but they have not sacrificed quality, instead they have risen to the demand and excelled in every way possible. As they say at Matlen Silver, #keepgoing.

Cons

Be sure to follow up with inquiries. The team here is moving and shaking, and they are usually great about getting back to emails and voicemails.
