Good People-Bad Work

Business Outlook

Pros

The people were honestly doing the best they could in a bad situation.

Cons

Too many systems that don't communicate causing a lot of un-necessary duplicate input and auditing. So much redundancy that made it impossible to meet deadlines without working 60 hours a week in perpetuity. Expected one person to do the job of two fte with minimal compensation.

Thanks for serving our military and their families. Annually Matrix reviews our benefits. Not all government contracting companies offer 401k retirement plans. Matrix is pleased to provide this retirement plan and will continue to review enhancing the benefit as the company grows. We provide (PTO) Paid Time Off which is used for any leave needed. Example – vacation, sick leave, appointments, etc.

Pros

Very autonomous work, rewarding to help veterans.

Cons

Very difficult to reach staff for time off requests, etc. 10 days of PTO to include sick time and vacation is extremely unrealistic.

Matrix Providers mission is serving the military and their families, and we are glad you served that mission and felt rewarded helping our veterans. The 80 hours annual leave is standard time off, especially for those under Service Contract Act contracts. We are always trying to enhance benefit packages and will continue to review this.
