      Pros

      Get to help women feel great everyday through clothing. They put a lot of time and effort into the growth and career paths of their employees and like to promote from within. A 40% off discount, but don’t necessarily have to wear Maurices fashion. Ability to earn a bonus each month, if you are management.

      Cons

      Must be willing to work weekends and holiday times. Working with a young team and many people’s first job.

      Pros

      I loved working at Maurices not only for the amazing discount, but also for the opportunity to help women feel beautiful. I loved the company's philosophy of wanting to help women feel confident. Playing dress up every morning before my shift and then coming in and dressing customers was truly a dream. I loved the flexibility in the dress code and the ability to wear pieces I already had that weren't from Maurices and being able to showcase your own style.

      Cons

      The standards of this job were inconsistent for each employee. Some employees were nagged about small things that other employee weren't. Management definitely picked favorites. There were a few months in working there where two managers bullied other managers / associates into quitting and forced the whole team to choose sides. Petty management only lasted a few months, but was enough to make work miserable for that time.

      Employee discount is pretty decent

      Training not in depth enough for the position Felt like I was never doing anything right If you don’t ask questions you won’t be trained, even though you may not know what questions to ask Be prepared to run things on little to no info You are required to get a credit card sign up every shift You are required to follow customers around and suggest, I have had friends tell me how they HATE when the staff does this Constant reprimand not worth the pay
