Pros

Great Discount (40%) to use at Maurices, Justice & Dress Barn Usually a great atmosphere Get to help people shop, look and feel great! Customer appreciation! Work with second jobs extremely well As a Freight Associate: very flexible schedule, coming and going when it is convenient for me! Get to listen to music and process freight!

Cons

Environment can be rough at times, competing for customers and other daily "goals" Usually minimum wage Working with mostly (usually all) women can be rough at times Lots of daily, weekly, monthly goals to meet Amount of Additional daily tasks make it hard to focus on customer satisfaction

Pros

- The 40% discount is awesome, especially on Silver Jeans. - Getting to see the current fashion trends before they reach the floor. - Extra discounts around holidays.

Cons

Incredibly stressful. The pressure they put on associates to sell maurices cards is absolutely ridiculous. If someone has the card or is completely opposed to it, I won't continue to push it on them. Never have I once recieved positive feedback, only negative. We aren't given enough time to completely the tasks they present to us.

Pros

-Flexible Hours, most of the time -GREAT discount - 40% off -Usually a fun environment -Clothes are very nice, pretty, different styles -The ability to help people make decisions in their wardrobe -Get to know the other associates on a personal level, you really become a family -Meet lots of different people, good networking -You have the power to maybe make someone day better -Sometimes good incentives for Stoked for 7% and PM's

Cons

-Expected to be on call 24/7, even on your scheduled off days -You are expected to turn every customer into a maurices credit card holder, which includes begging them, several times. -you are expected to do way too many things in a short amount of time. You must greet every customer within seconds from walking in the door, get to know them on a personal level, do the shopping with them as well as other customers at the same time, show them merchendise, follow up in the fitting room, make sure you make your sales goal for day, sell the maurices credit card, fold, straighten, and make sure everything looks like it has never been touched, as well as changing visual/promotional aspects all in one shift (this is just for an associate, managers must also lead your team, open/close registers, handle the paperwork, do calculations) -Expectations are often to high and unattainable, they tell you customers are first over tasks, but get mad when you do not complete tasks. -Not very much (if any) positive feedback from District Managers/Company
