Pros

If your as good a technician as i am then you can do whatever you want. Management at all levels are not very smart, and just don't seem to care.

Cons

EVERYTHING. Pay is aweful if you get stuck in a store with low volume. Mavis Rip off tire banks on high volume low profit, and that doesnt work in every market. So if your in a slow store as a technician i suggest you quit and get a better job. You can easily Do so much better! Auto technicians are in high demand don't let these clowns fool you. When there is plenty of work and your making the company 10k plus dollars a week in service everything is great you can work as much as you want. But when it's slow they don't Give a eff about you and will cut your hours when you need it the most. Don't work for these type of scum bags. I was 1 of the most profitable Technicians in the region the entire time it worked with the company.... just save yourself the aggravation. They don't offer any training so new techs out of tech school should avoid this company by all means.. Store managers get paid crappy base salaries so just avoid Mavis all together.

Pros

none they pay a low salary, but used to let you work plenty of overtime to make up for it, cutting everything and even some jobs in an obvious effort to re-sell company. buyer beware as they are not increasing sales or value in any way

Cons

mavis is cutting expenses on everything....cutting overtime, even not giving you 40 hours a week, would not recommend this company to anyone

Pros

The bonuses can be very good when you get them, and the Goodyear incentive helps. If you have a good district or regional, your job could be easy. My staff is great, though, and that makes life in Mavis that much simpler. If you can deal with charging unnecessary services, you'll move up quickly and get paid somewhat decently. The hours aren't killer, though, so balancing life and work is ready.

Cons

Depending on your district or regional, high pressure to sell useless power steering or brake flushes to every customer, a minimum of two struts a day, and pray if you don't get at least one credit application a day. Have your guys follow all their procedures and a 15 minute oil change turns into 45 minutes, leading to a backup of cars. Upper management won't care, though. Also, believe me when I say your mechanics' quotas go up if they get anywhere close to meeting it. Completely unfair for the work they do.
