Pros

Many locations, rapid advancement, unlimited income potential for salespeople. Comapny cultue is vibrant, but is more geared towards twenty-somethings, rewarding service that is provided.

Cons

High stress, you are pulled in a million different directions. Company is dangerously understaffed and there is little work/life balance.

Nice diverse group of employees , relaxed friendly environment. Lots of bonuses and group goals to promote feelings of team work.

limited upward mobility. friendly relaxed environment can get in the way of professionalism at times. Extremely tedious and redundant work

Pros and Cons of Maxim

Pros

Maxim has an energy that is uncommon in most office jobs. When your working you are hyped and ready to work. Its a great place for a GUY to work, sports, women, movies and bars are a main topic of non work related conversation. The pay is not stellar, but nor is it the worst out there. The size of the company is a big help in many cases.

Cons

The office hours 10.5 hr days + on call, 3am is not a fun time to deal with an upset client. Lack of communication, but that is a normal con for working for a very large and nationwide company. Lack of promotion opportunities, Maxim is very specialized in one area, so moving from a recruiter to another department (other than account manager) is very hard. Most non-recruiters are hired from outside the company. Regional management and up are not very honest or truthful with the local managers and recruiters, which leads to a lot of second guessing on everyone's part.
