      - Employee owned company - Great leadership at the top - Involvement in many aspects of the construction industry - Can advance at a rapid pace - Multiple opportunities for career path

      Cons

      - 90% Work, 10% Life balance - Constant relocation between jobs - Information is learned not given (read non-preventative atmosphere) - Job site management works in CYA mode and is not afraid to use anyone as a scapegoat - Field employees are considered numbers not names and are treated as such

      Pros

      Everyone is really helpfull, training is extensive, work hard play hard atmosphere. Jobsite staff is very knowledgeable and has extensive office help.

      Cons

      As with every contractor in Southern California, jobs can be spread out due to the fact that the greater Los Angeles area is very spaced out. Not specific to McCarthy.

      Pros

      100% Employee Owned. People are treated like adults - no micro-managing. We all know our job and we do it.

      Cons

      Construction - unstable right now. There may not be a project to go to after the current one is done. The company is not marketing my area at this time. I do not want to drive 50 miles to work anymore. With gas prices, no one can blame me.
