Pros

The company has been in business for over 100. They have been able to adjust to many of the changes in the healthcare industry and grow at the same time as a business.

Cons

Too many politics and favortism. The company does not prioritize in having a diverse workforce at all levels of the organization. They mentally is that since it's a business to business organization that's not as important. It's a Fortune 14 organization but is way behind when it comes to diversity and employee relations.

Pros

I got to work with the latest software Silverlight, ASP 3 with Microsoflt's MVC framework 2 (at that time it was the latest), Java 1.6, jQuery 1.8, MSSQL 2008. Other than using TFS we have many best of breed tools and getting some personal favorites like Beyond Compare was no problem.

Cons

I had hoped to move up in the company and I have been promoted but my salary is not competitive with my experience anymore. I have received raises but I can bump up 20-30% salary increase just by going someplace else.

Ability to transfer to different divisions, travel policies are fair. Industry Leader. Huge Market Share. Financial Stability. Diversity in Employees

Cons

Total lack of training, extreme high turnover of employes within in the first 12-18 month period, sink or swim mentality. Lack of middle management to listen to or change the lack of training when vocalized to them. Corporate Credit Card is in your name so affects your credit rating if you have any delays in payment on expense reports. Cardinal Healthcare is a similar company and they have a formalized training program,I was expecting something the same when on-boarding. Meanness towards new employees who lack the knowledge to perform the job by experience employees. Long hours, high stress.
