Pros

You get to read a book or magazine inbetween flights and get paid for it ~~ Company pays for parking in the employee lot at OIA ~~ You get an extra 15 minutes a day if you punch in before your shift ~~ You arent docked for the 1/2 hour lunch/dinner break but you get indigestion real quick because you have to wolf down your food to get back to your post on time ~~

Cons

Lousy hours: You have to "bid" for the shift you need (or want); Its the lowest paying counter job at OIA; Mgrs "nit-pick" about everything from the length of your nails to your hair style to standing up while doing your job (even though for the last 8 years it didnt matter); You have to wear the ugliest uniform EVER (Black pants & yellow polo shirts or WHITE polyester shirts (depending on your position); Very stressful clients and the managers NEVER stand behind their employees actions or back them up; You ONLY get recognition if you do something wrong; You only get 1/2 hour for "lunch" with NO other breaks inbetween; Employee parking at OIA is 5 miles away and can only be gotten to by jam-packed shuttle bus that runs sporadically; No paid sick days (you have to be off 2 in order to get paid for 1 & then you need a doctors note to come back); Medical insurance is lousy (Humana) -- HIGH premiums for mediocre coverage.

Pros

Cash Tips. Autonomy. Having a positive impact on a family's vacation. Responsibility. Fantastic colleagues. Developing close work relationships.

Cons

Inconsistent implementation and enforcement of company policies. Inflexible scheduling: switching from early early mornings to afternoons with only a one or two day turn around. Not knowing your schedule until the day before.

Pros

They have more motor coach work than any other motor coach company in central florida.

Cons

The pay is so extremely low it's unbelievable. Much of their work is contracted from Disney and Disney encourages their guests NOT to tip their motor coach drivers which is not the industry standard and Mears "built-in" gratuities and commissions are so low that they don't come close to paying what these motor coach drivers should be making annually as compared to the rest of the industry.
