Thank you for your review. With Compassion being one of our three core values, we strive to continuously provide the leading care in emergency and specialty medicine. Establishing a work-life balance for all of our employees is a priority and we encourage all team members to utilize their PTO and time away to reset and recharge.

We're glad you had a good experience working with us. MedVet is a veterinarian owned and employee led organization, which keeps excellent patient care our top priority. All of our hospitals uphold our 3 core values (Teamwork, Leadership, Compassion) while each hospital also thrives in its own unique atmosphere and culture. Training is an integral part to our profession and we always welcome team members to consult with their Clinical Manager with any concerns over additional training after the initial 4-6 week training period.

Pros

Doctors practice good quality medicine ER and all specialties in one place

Cons

Terrible benefits, HORRIBLE management and local leadership. Short staffed, money hungry, employee discounts are a joke, low pay and raises only about 0.50 cents a year. Management could care less about your mental and physical well-being, they just want you in the hospital. And when you aren’t in the hospital they expect you to be picking up shifts. No REAL training process for new hires, they just throw them in and say good luck!

On Behalf of Hospital Director: We are very sorry to hear you were unhappy with your experience. We strive to foster a positive, collaborative environment at our Dallas hospital. Over the past couple of years, we have focused significantly on enhancing our Employee Experience, which has been inclusive of focusing on our career framework which supports continued growth and development within current roles and setting employees up for success for promotions. Identifying talent and passion for veterinary healthcare is important and supporting employee career goals will continue to be a priority. Similarly, we have been focusing on stress management and wellbeing initiatives such as offering free subscriptions to mental wellbeing apps, along with our Employee Assistance Program with easy access to resources and more. We hope this will continue to support and promote healthy ways of dealing with stress so everyone can be the best version of themselves when they are doing what they love. If team members feel uncomfortable in any situation, local management, our HR partner, and regional management are always available and interested in understanding these issues and working on a resolution. We encourage and welcome thoughts, suggestions, and ideas from our team members. In addition, we are constantly evaluating ways to keep team members up to date with ongoing training and continuing education. We recognize that we have had a drastic increase in patients this past year. We are actively recruiting for many open roles throughout the process and are spending time each day reviewing applicants and interviewing to fill these open roles. We appreciate you sharing your voice.
