Pros

I've worked for a few other companies that I was happy with, but this is the first place that I've ever worked where I felt like the company really cared about me and what happens to me and everyone else that works there. The compensation is very competitive, and the benefits are excellent. PTO is very generous.

Cons

Like anywhere, there can sometimes be scheduling issues, and overtime worked. But, I feel that it's all within reason and we're fairly compensated for it. You are expected to work nights, holidays and weekends, but this is an expectation that is set from the time you start.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. As you may know, communication was an area that was identified in our recent Employee Experience survey as an area where we needed to improve across the organization. So I'm not surprised you feel that is something that needs to get better. Also, I would encourage you to TAKE your PTO -- I know it's hard in a busy hospital, but we want to make sure that our employees get time off to recharge.

Pros

The organization is very values-based and genuinely seems to want to continue to improve the employee experience. The medical quality is top-notch and patients and clients receive collaborative care from the clinical teams.

Cons

The hours can be long, which is typical for the industry, and the work can be very emotional. The hospitals are not perfect, but the leaders do really care about their team and work to improve things for the staff and doctors.

Thanks for your comments! And welcome to MedVet. Specialist postings are something we continue to modify – we know that some doctors are open to multiple locations, so sometimes we do "bundle" our postings. I agree with you that we have an impressive management team in Cincinnati! You should feel free to reach out to your regional medical director if you have any specific concerns or feedback to pass along. We are always working to get even better.
