Stay Away, Poor Leadership

Pros

Good work/life balance, office culture, snacks, the people (for the most part), happy hours, flexible PTO

Cons

Inept and absent leadership that plays favorites, unclear path and deadlines from the parent company (GoDaddy), lack of product innovation and unique selling proposition, outdated website and internal systems

In order for Media Temple to move forward against its 2018 strategic plan and beyond, we needed to improve our operational efficiency and, as part of that, we had to make some tough people decisions. It’s always hard to part ways with employees and we are thankful to former employees like you for their hard work. To address your comment about “the imminent absorption by GoDaddy”, while we’ve kept Media Temple as a separate brand, we have been a GoDaddy company since our acquisition in 2013.

Pros

office is nice but most cloud tech and support arent allowed to even come in when they want they rather keep it empty! rod finally fired which is good thing

bad toxic enviornment. media temple is about to be shutdown or sucked up into godaddy. bad supervisors in support and cloud tech. digital ocean pays much better and is not falling apart but innovating on their products and not fighting with their parent company over who gets customers. media temple doesnt care about its hosting products anymore only aws President → fired VP Sales → quit for competitor VP Engineering → quit Chief Architect → quit 3 Product Managers → quit Strategy Director → quit HR Manager → quit Many sneior developers and engineers → quit BEFORE YOU INTERVIEW OR TAKE A JOB AT MEDIA TEMPLE TALK TO FORMER EMPLOYEES ON LINKEDIN! FIND PEOPLE WHO LEFT IN PAST YEAR. WHY TAKE JOB THAT WILL PROBABLY BE ELIMINATED IN 6 -12 MONTHS
