Pros

Working remote and great staff.

Cons

The company is always talking about career development within the company but there is no career advancement within the Billing department. There are people within the department with knowledge in other aspects but MG would hire externally rather than promoting someone internally. That would mean a pay raise and their budget would not allow that. Billing is one of the smaller departments in the company and it tends to be overlooked. Management always talks about having a great work life balance but they would overwork their senior staff rather than training more people to help in other queues when needed. Billing has been having monthly meetings with the CFO for almost a year regarding all the problems we're facing but nothing is getting done for the department. It has always been the same excuses over and over again and it has become pointless and a waste of time. The company is always working on other projects to help productivity and lessen the workload for other departments but something always tends to break leaving Billing with more responsibilities and problems to clean up.

Pros

-Strictly commission, but you can get some really nice payouts -excellent opportunity to make a decent amount of money as an entry level sales person -No cold calling. Some leads are total garbage though -Product is relatively easy to sell depending on where the lead came from.

Cons

- First and foremost, Medical Guardian butters up newcomers, and then tells them to write a review on here so it drowns out the negative reviews. This is a common trick pulled by places with a revolving door sales team. The rating on here would be a lot lower if the company did not do this. Don't be fooled. -Major favoritism going on on the sales side. Luckily it doesn't matter as there are enough leads for everyone, but you should still expect to see the same people getting the very best leads and being rewarded with gifts on a constant basis. -Sales leadership likes to punish its team for relatively simple things. Felt almost like a high school environment. -Revolving door to the point that the sales leadership seems to use it as a business strategy -Sales leadership promotes dirtbag aggressive sales tactics and fear-selling. These methods are certainly effective, but there are other ways to sell products that aren't so nasty. Pretty shameful that a company based on protecting the elderly would do this. -Sales is supposed to be a little stressful, but Medical Gaurdian turns up the heat to the point where you can't think about anything else in or out of work. It will put major stresses on your social life outside of work. Pretty awful feeling. -There are a lot of people that believe this industry is nearing its endpoint. Geoff is a smart dude. He will likely sell or restructure this company in the future. Be wary of getting comfortable.

Pros

when i first joined it was a place with lax policies ; working in center city ; its like working for yourself and company is getting leads for you ; it was heavy leads ; they had a 2 month free offer that no other company had so that got us sales easier plus our affiliate marketing placement placed us 1-3 top spots .

Cons

%100 commission job mean just that; if you dont make sales you dont make any money for the day; some days working for free; they invested in "expanding" into a new floor which was a mistake; spent too much money on a facade that the company is growing when it really wasnt ; there was no marketing dollars for months in 2019 ; there is a certain favoritism ; top reps who are the chosen ones when times are tough they get all the leads and calls ; we call them "the order takers", skill-less reps but swimming in the money ; high pressure environment makes you want to quit almost daily on those months; they keep telling you its going to get better but it never does. they say theres a tier system but its all fake and its rigged. company is a faucet system theyll switch you on and off how and whenever they like. starting to micromanage you when theres no leads coming which they should be doing the opposite and encourage with positive reinforcement ; you will not have a straight weekend you have to work 1 day in between off ; theyre tactic when they want to get rid of you is starve you where youre not making any money so you would quit because they dont want to fire you and give you unemployment

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. All of our sales agents are hired on a 100% commission basis and we use a tier system that is based on skills. The sales department is operated under the Medical Guardian handbook and sales handbook for every agent. If there are ever any issues with the sales floor, HR is readily available to meet with sales agents.
