Pros

The only good thing was getting paid weekly

Cons

Once you finish training and become salary(instead of hourly), they expect you to start at seven and stay till 530 or later and not take a lunch. Im okay with working overtime, but this is the minimum amount of hours they expect. The metrics they have are insane. On top of that even if you do you hit your metrics the commission structure is not good at all and you still won’t make decent money. It’s a very strange culture and Company. Almost everyone I worked with would cry on a daily basis due to the stress. They would randomly let people go with no warning or reason, basically if the personality wasn’t exactly what they wanted. This also brings me to the lack of diversity within the company. The benefits are not good either. I notice they hire a lot of people right out of college because they don’t know that most companies are not like this so they stick it out. I don’t think they have good values or least they’re actions say they don’t. They don’t do the right thing for their own clients

Pros

-The culture is phenomenal. I would hang out with any person in my office outside of work or grab lunch one on one with them. -Office leaders do a good job about setting up happy hours for the team, quarterly and holiday parties, and getting the office together to put on philanthropy events for local organizations -Great opportunity for growth if you stick it out. I was promoted in under a year of being here and I feel like that is very common within this organization. Most office leaders and upper management I've talked to across the country in Medix began their career here as an entry-level recruiter. -Offering candidates jobs and walking them in on their first day is a HUGE pro. You really feel like you are a part of making a huge difference in someone's life. -Very quickly growing company. 19 offices across the country, 2 opened within the last year, and 5 projected to open in the next 3 years. -Acquired an IT company in Paris, France this past year in order to stay ahead of the market and use IT to boost their business versus making them obsolete.

Cons

-Work life balance is something I feel like most everyone brings up here. I definitely agree this was a struggle for me when I started. Let me give you some background on why this is an issue though - you get a HUGE raise in your base pay if you hit a certain metric for 3 weeks in a row (huge as in $12,500 huge), so it is really common for recruiters to stay until 5:30 every night or sometimes even 6 o'clock because they are trying to get this raise really quickly. You CAN leave at 5pm, but most of your co-workers will be staying later than that in order to be more successful, so you'll probably find yourself wanting to always stay later too if you are competitive. -You are working in the product of people, and while some candidates are sweet, professional, and reliable, others can be awful, rude, unpredictable, and unreliable. So just be aware that you need to be able to grow a thicker skin and let things out of your control roll off your back.
