Pros
Lots of autonomy and freedom to forge your own path (depending on your manager of course) and technology in use, while not the bleeding edge, is not archaic either. Salary was fair and quarterly bonuses were decent.
Cons
Promotion path is inconsistent, if it exists at all in your division/position. However overseas promotions are announced almost weekly. Vacation is entry-level, even for experienced professionals. "Culture" of the company is spoken of often, but it is not as wonderful as they think it is. Working from home is not part of this culture and likely never will be. While it is possible to work from home on occasion (or emergency), "butts in seats" is the culture - even in bad weather (snow storms). Recognition is severely lacking, even in the face of an annual "employee appreciation week". Getting trinkets and daily treats for a week in September is a nice gesture, but it doesn't excuse ignoring them for the rest of the year.
