After accepting a remote position, I was told numerous times that a laptop was going to be delivered. However on my first day I still had not received it, only a very large desktop. I was then told that a laptop was not available to me and I would have to work from home at a desktop only. I had already notified them that I would be working from a different state for my first week due to a family emergency to which they said no problem, yet they still refused to send me a laptop. My time was wasted due to their poor communication and lack of transparency. Their actions showed me they clearly don’t care about their employees and are on some kind of power trip.
