Pros

In my opinion, one of the best reasons to work at melaleuca is because you get access to melaleuca's great products without having to buy into the MLM scam.

Cons

MORALLY QUESTIONABLE BUSINESS Melaleuca is an MLM-type business. This means members of melaleuca recruit others to join melaleuca and buy melaleuca products, and in return, they earn a small portion of the proceeds from the product sold. This is generally regarded as a morally questionable business, and for many employees, nags on their conscience. Hours Management is not always respectful of your hours of availability; while I worked there, they scheduled me multiple times over my class hours and reprimanded me when I told them I could not miss school. Also, once a month, you are expected to work a double shift which is never fun. BETTER OPTIONS The reality is, while finding a job in Rexburg can sometimes be hard, there are other better options out there that often pay more per hour and have matching or better benefits. don't settle for melaleuca.

Pros

The only pro comes in the form of the simply fit nut and fruit clusters. That’s literally it!

Cons

Starting off, none of the products work. Everything is cheaply made and easily replaced by products from their competitors. The trainers from day one try to brainwash you into thinking that all their stuff is magical. It’s not magical, it’s not unique, and it’s just garbage. Management is the next thing. Every single one of the supervisors and managers and hypocrites through to their core with the exception of three. They love to preach empathy at you all day but if you’re really struggling, they will straight up leave you high and dry to fend for yourself. There were several supervisors who I contacted to try to get their help on an issue and they never gave me a response. I would even go and ask right to their face and they would say, “Let me check on that” and then never follow up. The hits happened several times. I would have to continually pester management in order to get anything done. They also get to take as much time off as they want and have it be no issue yet everyone else is limited to just 5 days for 6 months. When it comes to “Coaches” who score and grade your calls, there is no consistency. I was the same on every call and followed my training religiously and scored always between a 25-30. Then one coach graded a call and gave me a 14. I asked 4 other coaches to listen to and grade the same call and they all gave it between 25-30. This went on with the same coach for 4 months until I finally got tired of it and called her out for it. She said that it was her own personal feelings that led her to that grade and not the call itself. With that garbage swimming around my head I gave up on caring and quit. Do not work here if you have any morals or self worth. Both will be lost on your first day on the phones. Melaleuca does not care about you at all.
