Pros

I knew nothing about technology or sales when starting this job but have learned so much about internet of things, data storage, big data, and security from my peers and different clients in the office. Great culture! All my team members go out together after work and spend time on the weekends. We do different events like sharks games, themed Fridays, and can even earn Friday off when we are above our number.

Cons

The work can be really challenging. We are expected to make 100 dials a day and add 30 new names to our call lists. The training is more "on the job" than you'd expect from the interview process; you learn more from your peers and the daily activity than from formal class room education.

Thanks for providing your thoughtful feedback here on Glassdoor. The title of your post is highly accurate, and the best part is that we're paying you for this "higher sales education" achievement. We're very proud of the culture at memoryBlue and it's exciting to hear how much you like that aspect, too. Individuals that get their start with our company build lifelong peer networks, lasting friendships and rock solid sales skills. We've posted at length in other areas on Glassdoor about the varied and multi-faceted nature of the training we offer, so readers can go through this page for our response to that particular con listed here. But it should suffice to say training comes in a great many shapes and methods here at memoryBlue - some is certainly "on the job" but a great deal more is also done through other methods (routine all-hands training sessions, call review sessions, manager 1x1s and much more). We'll consider the advice you've provided above and review those areas to see if there's opportunity for future improvements. Thanks for the honest insight and overall response!

We appreciate the feedback and are incredibly happy that you found this to be a great launching point for your sales career. There's no doubt about it that great sales performance requires hard work - but the payoffs are very large if you have what it takes to put that work in. Keep hustling!
