The pay has always been terrible, and Behavior Technicians receive no benefits. However, in the past year new “leadership” made the workplace utterly unacceptable. There have been public screaming fights and obscenities, casual racism and sexism in the workplace, threats made to employees for calling out sick, a complete lack of support and respect, and the school is too short staffed to safely function. Administrators don’t know proper procedures for emergencies and a student has already been in danger this school year. There’s also no flexibility, but plenty of penalty.

Management is overworked. Too many toxic coworkers. Salary could be higher for amount of work expected. Antiquated procedures and practices when it comes to administrative work.
