Guaranteed 40 hours, supportive staff. Upward mobility is possible. Criminal background is not an issue. Chance for personal growth.

Cons

Lot's of small complaints. Bait and switch tactics, applied for 1 job got another. 3rd party payroll that doesn't care. Rolling 6 month probation period that can be reinstated if a detail of your job description changes. In group preference to persons in recovery.

Pros

Good clients, some autonomy, flexible hours, variety of clients made for good experience, nice supervisor... The steps made for good exercise (as opposed to the normally sedentary therapist jobs).

Cons

High no-show rate, too much paperwork... You had to write an incident report for every little thing a client revealed. LPC supervision was promised, but then I found out that the group was full and I had to wait for an employee to leave for there to be an opening .
