Pros
I joined Merck as a GOglobal trainee after my graduation. This trainee program is composed of 4 rotations. And it gives me the opportunity to work in the headquarters based in Darmstadt, Germany for 6 months. It is exciting to have an overview of different departments and work with different team members every 6 months. I feel well-connected with the local leadership team and the young talent community. A big takeaway from my experience by far is that dream big! Also, have fun with your team, everything else will come!
Cons
Since Merck KGaA is a very big multinational company. The organizational chart can be complicated and overwhelming for a new joiner. It takes time to digest the structure of the organization.
