Pros

World-class science and innovation. Top of the line instrumentation and technology is available, and partnerships with vendors to development new technologies is actively encouraged. Flex hours and flexible vacation time makes for a good work/life balance.

Cons

Little room for advancement, unless you're one of the "favorites" that always seem to do well when performance evaluation time rolls around.
