During a Coronavirus Outbreak

Pros

A lot of companies treat their employees well when things are great. The true measure of a company is how they treat their workforce during a crisis, and the current coronavirus crisis is both a threat to health and adds economic uncertainty. Mercury leadership has been outstanding during this crisis. They have acted fast and decisively to protect the work force by quickly establishing work from home practices for those who can, and safety measures for those who cannot. Mercury is a critical defense solution provider, and must continue in our role for national security. Mercury continues to take care of it's workforce with a generous relief fund to support its workforce who may be suffering unexpected financial difficulties. Mercury leadership has placed the financial and physical health of its employees first. The have also rapidly deployed a reward program (thank a Health Worker) for employees to help support our nations bravest - the health care workers at the front lines of this war. In addition, Mercury is well positioned for an uncertain economy with large credit, cash resources, and low debt. Mercury is still hiring during this time. I have never been prouder to be part of this company and I hope that if you are reading this and looking for a place to work, you consider Mercury. It has proven itself as a rare company that takes its values, culture, and workforce well being as a top priority during a challenging time, not just when things are good.

Pros

During the COVID-19 crisis, Mercury's executive leadership team was up to the challenge. They were proactive, and purposeful in ensuring the health and welfare of the entire workforce, pulling out all the stops to all as many people as possible to work from home, and while doing so - still kept our commitments to our customers. To this day, our leadership team is regularly communicating changes and updates to not only the managers, but to the rank and file as well in a very transparent and helpful manner. They are also going above and beyond CDC recommendations knowing that keeping our workforce safe is key to continuing our success in all facets of our business.

Cons

I honestly can't think of anything negative about working at Mercury. I wish I'd have joined the company sooner.

Pros

Mercury has some great employees who work very hard.

Cons

If, you want to work countless hours, work in an hostile work environment and have your job threatened on a weelky basis. Then Mercury may be the place for you. Management rules the Phoenix site with fear and intimidation. Andover talks a good game. However, that isn't happening in Phoenix. If, you calculate the hours put in.. You will quickly discover your are being taken advantage of. This is all in the name of greed. The staff is growing tired off 12 hour mandatory days. 6 days and 7 day a week work schedule. 3 employee engagement surveys over the last 3 years are all pretty much saying what started above. Don't believe all the positive posts on here about Mercury.. Management at every Mercury site is constantly requesting employees to post positive reviews. To offset the real employee sentiment at the Phoenix site and some of the other Mercury sites. In fact, there use to be 2 Glassdoor accounts. 1 for Andover and 1 for Phoenix. The Phoenix was removed in July 2018 to give Mercury a higher rating on Glassdoor..
