Pros

Great work culture, Very patient forward at my particular hospital. Have a great manager who is very supportive. Grandfathered into the student loan repayment program, though now discontinued.

Cons

Compensation is relatively low at the hospital. Health insurance leaves you wanting. Not many opportunities for career advancement in the laboratory field (though this is a problem with the field in general). Has outsourced a lot of services to third parties which can be a mess to deal with, such as HR, EVS, IT, etc.

Pros

Pay and management have been the best part of working at Mercy.

Cons

Acuity isn't that great if you are looking for fast-paced position that really requires critical thinking.
