Pros

You get a significant amount of PTO to use as long as your supervisor grants your time off, which I've never had a problem with.

Cons

Premiums are a bit high on insurance and small yearly raises but it depends on your position at the hospital.

Pros

Great people and teamwork. Everyone works together and genuinely loves what they do. They try and make it an enjoyable place to be amongst the constant stress.

Cons

Constantly busy because management is incapable of making positive changes. Many skilled nurses are quitting because it is no longer a fun place to work.

Pros

Mercy has a wonderful nursing staff this is supportive, caring and fosters an environment for learning. Great system for a new RN to begin a career due to the educational opportunities provided.

Cons

Sadly on my unit, there were no direct hires to day shift. The wait list to day shift was not long but was unavoidable if full time.
