Pros

I love my job because my co-workers are like family. We all start the day together talking and laughing. The company truly cares about each employee and goes above and beyond to show their appreciation. It is overall the best place I have ever worked!

Pros

Merry Maids does have a strong set of standards, and when performed correctly it is a good product to be a part of. Because of the national recognition, it's pretty easy to get customers, as long as you keep them wowed to have then invite you back.

Cons

Compensation is definitely very minimum. You are paid on a mixture of commission and hourly wage, as long as your average for the week meets the minimum hourly wage standards. This puts enormous pressure to crank out as much housecleaning as possible, as fast as possible. Pressure is added that this is a very "customer is always right" type of environment, so any mistakes the customer decides you make count against you no matter what the standards are.
