      Not what I expected that's for sure!

      Pros

      Decent pay, besides the lack of proper raises

      Cons

      - Management has little to no skill. - Morale is at an all time low - Sales and warehouse are basically two separate entities, with absolutely no interaction - All incentives that were brought forth, were taken away - No such thing as a set job. Some have to do 4-5 different sets of jobs, and get paid for one. - Raises are a joke! - Supposed to be a LEAN practicing job, yet it's not - No chance of going anywhere in the company if you are warehouse ( deadend job )

      Pros

      Each branch can vary greatly as they have independent managers. Great opportunity for growth. Good benefits/pay structure.

      Cons

      Most management I have experienced carry a "old" mentality of working very hard and long hours in order to move up in the company. - Too many initiatives that cause your direction as an employee to be unclear. - No out of work sponsored events, (They cut the holiday party funding this year) - Management always will promote the person that can sale the best and doesn't value being able to manage people.

      Pros

      Lots of interesting initiatives on the horizon. This company definitely pushes the boundaries in their industry. Lots of young talent people working here.

      Cons

      Metrie asks a lot of their employees. Has the tendency of getting too caught up with new initiatives, while forgetting what the business was founded on.

We are definitely driving to do something completely different in our industry and we hope that will be an exciting stage for all of our associates. You are correct that our company has a long history of success (90 years!) and we hope to continue that in 2016 and beyond!
