The onboarding process takes time (about a month including the background check) because the company cares who they hire. They want to ensure that they choose the most qualified candidate who will fit the work culture. MetroPlusHealth is diverse and upbeat. Never a boring day. There is always something to do and many of the employees are tenured, will retire, and expect to receive a pension. You will learn a lot and most if not all are willing to help. There are a lot of health related resources for employees and training if you lack a specific skillset. The company will invest in your long term career.

Cons

Work life balance. But it's expected for EAs to work around the clock.

A lot of the staff are professional from top-down and so far, I have been lucky to collaborate with several teams and learn about their LOB as well as the impact they have towards the rest of the organization. Technology is huge here and the teams are playing with different software. I really like using teams over zoom and the upgraded look for MS 365 just makes things a lot easier to communicate and navigate through. Monday-Friday with some late work sometimes up to and sometimes into 5:45PM. Some people forget this is part of H+HC so this is a NYC position that pays competitively, or if not, more than our competition (HR Generalists, Coordinator, etc.). 401K & NYC Pension is a major game changer if someone is curious about employment in NYC. Other companies mainly provide just a 401K or403B.

Cons

Some processes need to be reviewed and thought about when implementing new work.
