Pros

Great staff who want to do the what is right and what is best for the company. The benefits are well known and are definitely an advantage. The culture is definitely trying to change for the better. That takes time and complete buy in from all levels of management. In the division I work in (IT) we are working diligently on creating a positive atmosphere by creating repeatable processes, fostering inclusion and growth.

Cons

As in many organizations, there are areas of improvement. Some of which are realistic and others, based on the fact that we are a city organization, will be difficult to implement. One of the recurring things that needs to be reviewed is the work from home policy(or lack of one). With the ever changing landscape of the health care market, one is the ability and the flexibility to work remotely (at least on occasion) Many employees stay due to the benefits, but we also need to consider a structure to maintain our assets with a different financial incentive program.

Benefits: vacation and sick leave, pension, improving communication structure. I found my coworkers to be courteous and pleasant.

Cons

Keep communicating to employees so no one is left to wonder, speculate, or create rumors about things the company is doing.
