      Pros

      Some faculty are well-educated, smart and care about their students. The sudents are, for the most, fun to work with, although it depends on which program they're in. It has a pretty main campus.

      Cons

      The Middletown campus is about to close according to what I am seeing and hearing. There has been no official announcment, but Middletown VIPs are moving into positions in Hamilton and obviously dislodging Hamiton folks to do so. Very troubling is that one of the jobs being saved is that of the Provost's husband. This is a good example of how Miami functions below the student service level. It is corrupt in the favoritism that it shows spouses and clearly incompetent instructors who have poliltical value. My recommendation is look elsewhere. If Middletown collapese, the folks who brought it down will be in place in Hamilton. How long will that last. When Hamilton goes, Miami will be severely threatened as a state school. Also, its debt is way beyond where it should be, Signs of a struggle to keep Miami functioning are everywhere.
