Miami Dining Services a great place for students to work.

Pros

Working hours are extremely flexible and the opportunity to lead other employees at such a young age is a great benefit. There is great opportunity for a bonus and other training and development skills. The working environment is great for student employees.

Cons

Upper department management is full of bureaucracy and is not extremely responsive to employee suggestions. There is a huge level of separation between upper management and the individual unit locations and that is clear whenever they come in the building.

The state provides great retirement benefit, however loyalty now seems to be realized in one direction only, unlike days in the past.

Cons

The health benefits are declining like all other occupations. Thus, the baby boomer age is suffering because of the quantity of people in the workplace.

Fair stipend relative to the work, very bright teachers and technicians, good Health benefits, a great place to work in order to make a difference, polite and respectful community, good for undergraduate research, excellent security services

Cons

less diverse, not good website system (easily crashes), poor blackboard web page, modern equipment deficiency in the labs, not a better place for graduate research, low number of IT staff
