Pros

Great training ground. Good brand name. Many similarly aged people. Learnt my trade there so shouldnt really complain but felt let down because of the amount of time invested and little reward. It does offer international opportunities to move abroad which is a big plus.

Cons

awful commission structure, needs sorting. As soon as consultants reach a certain level they are promoted and become managers resulting in candidates and clients losing there point of contact they have built relationships with.

Pros

Michael Page is definitely an interesting company to work for, with success you can be fastracked to management level positions within 2 years and the benefits to top performers are relatively fair. The training is also of a relatively high standard.

Cons

The problem with Michael Page in Germany is, that they were completely unprepared for the recession. They spent 2008 building and then when 2009 came around, the whole place fell apart. For example, employees were taken on, given extensive and likely expensive training, and then let go. Management didn't know what was happening, a lot of lies were told to employees and the from the atmosphere it was very clear that no one was to be trusted. Everyone, management included, was absolutely ready to stab the nearest person in the back to keep their jobs, and more and more bizarre reasons were given for people being fired.
