Pros

Great work-life balance, mostly good people to work with. If you want to coast, this is the place for you (until you get laid off in latest downsizing). There is some chance for advancement and management experience etc., because of attrition.

Cons

Constant downsizing and attrition. Almost criminally incompetent management full of D-team cast offs from a UK software company still stuck in the 80s who are very very impressed with themselves and their decision making. Executives who lucked into a cushy gig have circled the wagons and consolidate any power into a small group of decision makers and let go of competent executives from acquired companies. No direction, no strategy, no communication. Just terrible.

Pros

Good pay, some good people here. Good stepping stone in your career if you are a 30 year old white person but don’t plan to retire here - they churn employees.

Cons

Annual territory reorganizations cause major disruptions. Favoritism is a problem and in-flight Sales opportunities are reassigned at each reorg. License Audits are handled brutally. Lots of turnover. Pay is not consistent among team members.

Customer relationships are of paramount importance to us, and we recognise the value of keeping the same team on an account so they can build rapport and trust. Sometimes we do need to realign territories, and try to do that thoughtfully and fairly. Licence Verification is an area we handle sensitively, we value our long term relationships with customers and want to work with all customers to make sure they get value from the software they use.
