      They treat the employees great. There's an on site clinic, workout trailer and basketball court. They off great ESPP and have too 401k.

      The compressed 12 hour shifts and the lower end pay.

      Pros

      Long Weekends, no question about it. That's what makes it worthwhile working at Microchip. We work 12 hour days each. One week it'll be 3 days on and 4 days off. The next week will be 4 days on and 3 days off. Plus, although many do not take advantage of it, MCHP does reimburse for tuition costs for those who want to pursue college education. It doesn't have to be specifically related to the wafer industry, it can be Business or many other areas as well.

      Cons

      Wearing a bunny suit all day long can get hot and stuffy, but you do get used to it after working there a while.
