      10% Paycut due to down cycle. Which will be refunded after 2 Years in form of stocks with additional 10% (provided you don't leave organisation) Not flexible WFH policy Pay less than market standards

      Pros

      Coworkers at Microchip tend to be very friendly. Emphasis on the job getting done, not the hours spent doing it. Relaxed environment for new grads and to be retirees.

      Cons

      Base pay is well below industry standards, and will never improve. Vacation is forced before end of year, and forced during holiday season. Paycuts are normal, but so is acquiring companies with their employees money. Promotes based on time and not based on merit. Hard workers are desensitized to try their best.
