Glad to hear that you are finding Microchip to be a “good place to work.” However, you mention that you think “salary is somewhat low.” Please remember that we practice a total compensation strategy at Microchip. Sometimes employees look at just one variable of their pay and do not look at the total picture with all the elements that contribute to their overall pay. In addition to base pay, which is based on market rates, all our employees participate in our quarterly bonus program and in our stock plans. These programs have been paying out at record breaking rates. In many companies, bonuses and stock participation are only offered to a select number of people. At Microchip, we practice a team approach where everyone is eligible for these programs that wind up enhancing their personal earning potential. We encourage you to take this all into account.
