Pros

people i worked with in my section were decent people when they were in the mood most were grumpy employees that worked there for way to long and were miserable with the job but like i said they were decent hard working people to work with

Cons

the management - only care about themselves and there bonuses no way of moving up within company, example someone that's worked there for 20 years applies for higher position, they offer them the job but for the same pay as their making now, now how is that a promotion/advancement the poor work environment - family teams working together in same areas, example mother and child work together in section, father who is a supervisor mind you and daughter work together in same area, husbands and wifes working together in same areas and so on, just a couple i could rattle of the top of my head the joke of an hr team they have there is atrocious and definitely don't now how to do their jobs force you to use your vacation and personal time, which is 2 weeks of each, when there is no work available, which is about 50% of the time, instead of letting you use unpaid time off because they want the big wigs to see they are super busy, when in reality they really aren't busy, so they can keep they're extra bonuses in they're pockets. then they fire you because they see you sitting at your desk doing nothing because there is no work to do.

Pros

Smart People, work-life balance is great, no micromanaging at the tech level, workload averages out over time, not too bad overall. Pay is good eventually but better at other semi-companies. Very laid-back management as long as you are good at your job. Sagacious financial leadership and an excellent c-suite team, I have complete confidence in them.

Cons

number 1 complaint is a lack of formal technical training, pretty much learn by trial and error, hard work is not as appreciated as it should be (coasting is commonplace because of this), tech levels don't mean anything about skill, its only pay and your likability in most cases. I know of several instances of tech 1's training tech 4's when the tech 4 obviously makes a lot more money. Internal promotions pay much less than an outside hire to the same position.

Pros

The culture within Microchip is completely commendable. They give you time to work on yourself and barely poses and pressure on you when it comes to workload. They macro-manage you and almost let you do your own tasks at your own pace but with support and guidance from your respective team. Others: Travel opportunities Stocks of the company will be given Flexi-time

Cons

Growth within the long run (salary-wise)
